Details of children's lantern procession in Up The Line event announced

Come and make your own lantern for the Remembrance Day procession on Wednesday 11th November.

Children will be making lanterns at St Andrews Church (in the hall), Brockley Rd/Wickham Rd from 4.00-6.00pm. £2.00 per child

The procession will take place in Brockley and Ladywell Cemetery, Brockley, London SE4 2QZ between 7.15 - 8.30pm. Children should bring their parents and grandparents.
It will be an unforgettable evening for everybody with poetry, classical music, film and soundscape

General meetings are held in January and June (AGM). Meetings are held in the Chapel in the Ladywell Cemetery. Volunteer workdays, under the guidance of the Council Bereavement Services staff, generally take place on Sundays in alternate months NEXT MEETINGS The next open committee meeting will be on Saturday 21st September at 2pm in the Chapel. Work session Sunday 22nd September 10am – 12.15pm Please meet at the Brockley gate. Please bring your own gloves, secateurs and loppers if you have them and let Geoffrey know if you are attending (geoffrey@foblc.org.uk) The burial records of the Cemeteries in Lewisham, including Brockley and Ladywell, have been scanned and digitised under an arrangement between the London Borough of Lewisham and Deceased Online. Heritage Lottery Fund Projects

FoBLC acknowledges the financial support of the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Ladywell Ward Localities Fund in making possible the project to record the history of a few of the civilian victims of bombings during the First World War, who are memorialised in the Brockley and Ladywell Cemeteries

Here are some projects that have been realised thanks to that support:
